My approach is to be your personal photojournalist for the day – virtually invisible, yet always available.

I begin months ahead of time with a fun, light-hearted engagement session to start developing a working relationship between you, me and the camera.  On the wedding day itself I provide unlimited coverage from start to finish.

Next, Derek Fowles Photography has partnered with Pictage.com – the nation’s leading online lab – to give you a secure web gallery for viewing your images online as well as print order fulfillment services for you and your guests.  At the same time, I provide you a Willowbook image catalog for permanent hardcopy reference of all the day’s pictures. I then personally design and print coffee table albums from White Glove Books, delivered to you with all the high-res. digital files on disk.

And finally, as a “thank you” to my clients, I include a Lifetime Discount on family photography services with all of my album packages. 

My album designs are the culmination of my storytelling approach.  As I sit down to create each layout, I like to think that I’m working not just for my newlywed clients but for their future children as well, who will hopefully one day be poring over these pages with eyes wide, wondering who some of these people were and what the day was like.  I use a private web gallery to post drafts of the layout, and then I incorporate your feedback in subsequent revisions until we reach perfection.

As for the books themselves, I have chosen to partner with White Glove Books for their unique bindings that open completely flat, allowing for spreads that are uninterrupted by any gutters, splits or folds.  With almost two dozen cover materials as well as custom-designed dust jackets available, I believe they offer the ultimate tableau for illustrating the story of your day.  (Traditional matted albums also available upon request.)
